The directions could have been a little better. you forgot to mention to turn left on amy creek circle. you just said where the road forks veer left. should put exact mileage on route. We finally got the path down the second day. What a fantabulous view. We've been staying with you guys almost once a year for a number of years and Skyline has the best view of them all. Even from the master deck, i got up at 4:30am and watched the sun creep up ever so slowly across the far ridgelines. it was gorgeous. we also ate dinner outside on the nice deck. Overall, we really enjoyed our time there. In the welcome book you should mention the bigfoot museum on 76 right down the road. it's a must see. also Falls Branch Falls is right down the road and an easy hike for youngins. it took us 5 minutes to hike to the bottom and the kids played in the water for awhile. WE also did Bear Creek Trail and the directions you provided were spot on. we saw the famous Gennet Poplar tree. i think it took us 25-30 minutes to hike and that's with a 4 and 6 year old. Watch out for the bikers!! Tell the family who owns the cabin...thanks for sharing, we loved it!!! ps- there was no oven mitt and the master bath sink doesn't drain very well.

Skyline

First of all, the home was very nice and absolutely immaculate. Even though we are a multiple dog household, our home is always neat and clean and we expect that of a rental property. We were not disappointed. The upstairs was lovely with the screened-in porch, perfect for reading and relaxing and the bed very comfortable. The downstairs bed was very uncomfortable and we had hoped to stay on the main floor so that was a bit of a negative. My husband enjoyed fishing in the lake every day and the dogs loved swimming in it and walking the property. I have already referred friends. We loved the seclusion as well.

The cabin was beautiful and everything was perfect. Our expectations were definitely exceeded! I can't get over all the details and thought put into the cabin. We loved every minute!

The Week's End

The cabin was big enough for us (2 adults and a small dog). I don't think it's big enough for more. We enjoyed it & had a great time. We plan to stay more days next time we visited blue ridge.

The weeks end.

Very nice cabin with wooded, secluded grounds giving us desired privacy. Other than going on walks we didn't travel locally. We enjoyed family time without more busyness. May was a good time of year temperature wise and the weather was good. Overall we enjoyed ourselves!

This was our first trip to the mountains, it will not be the last. The staff was great and we will be recommending Blue Sky and team. We was overly pleased with the cabin and can't wait until next year.

Creek run through

Beautiful cabin just as expected, very clean. We loved the location, it was easy to find and the hot tub on the deck listening to the river was pure bliss. The instructions were very clear and we had no queries during the 4 night stay. You could improve the experience further by providing a complimentary pack of coffee, tea and creamer, this kind of service is offered at the cheapest of hotels so for a luxury cabin, this would have been the icing on the cake.

River Rhapsody

The property was very beautiful, clean and very nicely decorated. We immediately felt at home. We spent a lot of time in the hot tub and at the campfire. It was one of the most relaxing vacations our family has experienced. We would definitely consider renting Cartecay River Rapids again.
