Lounge on the deck or soak in the hot tub and watch as the sun rises over mountain top after mountain top at this aptly named cabin, "Skyline". Located on one of the highest privately owned peaks in Georgia, surrounded by Mountain Laurel and Rhododendrons, you'll truly feel what it's like to be surrounded by nature. If you choose a more mellow day, go explore the towns of Ellijay and Blue Ridge, just a few minutes away. Wrap up a great day by listening to the cicadas sing.

The cabin has wonderful views and beautiful outdoor fireplace. It was very comfortable and cozy. The hottub running frequently did make things noisey at night and while sitting on the deck but I realize there is no other place to put it. I wouldn't want to be sleeping in the bedroom beside it. Absolutely a cabin we would return to!

The second you walk in you feel warm and cozy. Someone has obviously put a lot of thought into how people want to feel. You arrive to the cabin and find the bedroom. There are clean, folded towels with soap and shampoo bottles neatly placed on the beds. We found games for our family to enjoy and the hot tub ready to go. The cabin was clean and well organized. They even had some laundry pods neatly placed in a little tray next to the washing machine. We can't wait to stay again.

One piece of advice...for cabins that are way up on the mountain, as Skyline is, would be wise to provide directions DOWN the mountain to the main road as well. Yes, I was able to reverse what we did coming up but I can see how some people would have trouble with that and get lost.

We had an overall amazing experience. Guest service was always available to answer any questions. The location was gorgeous, the mountain view was breathtaking. The only downfall was not being able to grill due to the government fire ban with recent wild fires. However, that wasn't much of an issue. Loved every bit of our stay and will return soon again.

We enjoyed our stay very much and the views were beautiful. The only thing we had a problem with was the directions were a little confusing once we started up the mountain. It would help if maybe there were more signs saying the road names, or the names of the cabins pointing to which direction to go in. We brought our car not realizing how far up we were going to be and our car made it up and down okay but if we were to come again we would definitely bring a truck!

Beautiful cabin. The description of the roads were spot on. Make sure you drive a truck or vehicle to handle mountainous roads. It took longer than we expected, off the main road. So, be prepared for extra travel time. The cabin was beautiful, and suited our every need. The view was breathtaking.

We enjoyed our stay at Skyline - the view was great! It was a little tricky getting to the top which is where our cabin was located. Once there it was wonderful - the only thing you heard at night was the crickets. We truly needed a little R&R and this cabin delivered. We loved eating out by the fireplace and looking out at the mountains. It was so nice we wished we could have stayed longer. We hope to go back some day.

Overall, the cabin provided the perfect location for our long weekend away. Everything we needed was right there and the view was spectacular. We have looked at other rental websites in the past, but nothing compares to the reliable quality we know we will get when renting with Blue Sky Cabins. Thanks for another great vacation!
The Skyline cabin does need some attention, however. When we entered the property, we found it to be very dusty overall. The master bathroom sink was slow draining and we could have used a full set of matching dishes. Nothing was bad enough for us to call you, though, and overall we had a great trip. We were also a little concerned that there was not a deadbolt or other kind of lock on the door besides the one in the doorknob. Then again, we didn't have any problems or see anyone else that high on the mountain, so this is probably not an actual problem as much as it is an adjustment in thinking needed on our part coming from Atlanta to the peace and quiet of the mountains. Loved the Big Foot Museum which I don't think you even mentioned in your information about the area. It is right there in Cherry Log and people come from all over the U.S. to visit it. Definitely worth the mention! The nearby Farms, Orchards and Wineries in Ellijay and Shopping in Blue Ridge were just as quaint and entertaining as we remembered. :)

The directions could have been a little better. you forgot to mention to turn left on amy creek circle. you just said where the road forks veer left. should put exact mileage on route. We finally got the path down the second day. What a fantabulous view. We've been staying with you guys almost once a year for a number of years and Skyline has the best view of them all. Even from the master deck, i got up at 4:30am and watched the sun creep up ever so slowly across the far ridgelines. it was gorgeous. we also ate dinner outside on the nice deck. Overall, we really enjoyed our time there. In the welcome book you should mention the bigfoot museum on 76 right down the road. it's a must see. also Falls Branch Falls is right down the road and an easy hike for youngins. it took us 5 minutes to hike to the bottom and the kids played in the water for awhile. WE also did Bear Creek Trail and the directions you provided were spot on. we saw the famous Gennet Poplar tree. i think it took us 25-30 minutes to hike and that's with a 4 and 6 year old. Watch out for the bikers!! Tell the family who owns the cabin...thanks for sharing, we loved it!!!
ps- there was no oven mitt and the master bath sink doesn't drain very well.

Beautiful cabin on the mountain top (fairly easy drive up with an SUV). Awesome outdoor fireplace and jacuzzi. Amazing view from the deck. Inside the cabin was well furnished and comfortable. Very clean and surprisingly no insects/bugs inside. Good AC as well. Loved this cabin and would definitely stay again!
