Before the summer arrives, the beaches along Lake Blue Ridge offer an excellent opportunity for solitude and quiet in early spring. If you're not ready to take the plunge and swim, you can walk along the coastline and enjoy the scenery and wildlife. Hop on a Train

If you've got a big group in tow, little ones, or are looking for a more relaxing way to pass the time, spring is the perfect time to hop on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. Begin your journey at the 100-year-old historic depot located in downtown Blue Ridge. The train offers you a chance to view the beautiful North Georgia mountain landscape while indulging in the historic town of Blue Ridge along the Toccoa River to McCaysville near the Tennessee border. It's round trip, so after some time to explore McCaysville, you'll hop back on the train to head back to Blue Ridge.
 

Exploring Wineries, Breweries, and Distilleries

You'll discover an incredible variety of local craft beer, wine, and cuisine throughout Georgia, including the state's northern part. Wineries offer incredible views, tours, and wine tasting events.
